What's the difference between a roller shutter service and repairs?

A service is a planned maintenance check to ensure everything is working properly and to prevent problems before they arise. A repair, on the other hand, addresses a specific fault or malfunction that has already occurred. Servicing helps reduce the need for future repairs, however upon servicing your roller shutters, we may deem some repairs necessary which we will communicate to you at the time.

Do electric shutters require more servicing than manual shutters?

Yes, electric shutters typically involve more components like motors, control panels, safety sensors, and switches, which means they require more thorough and frequent inspections compared to manual shutters. However, regardless of what type of door or shutter you have, we would recommend regular servicing because something can go wrong at any time making it super important to get a professional assessment.

Can you service shutters during business hours?

Yes. Our servicing appointments can be scheduled around your operating hours to minimise disruption. We can also carry out work early in the morning, late in the evening, or on weekends if required. We work with you to ensure that it’s the most convenient timing for your business or schedule, where our diary allows. It’s worth mentioning that we’re very efficient with our work so even if this happens during operation hours, we will be out of your way in good time, generally speaking.

Do I need to be on-site during servicing?

It’s not essential, as long as we have safe access and any relevant controls or remotes. However, we recommend someone be available to answer questions and receive the service report. We can discuss this upon your initial enquiry though to give you peace of mind.
